Nueva Lengua, Escuela de Español

Nueva Lengua is a Spanish language school in Colombia with schools in Bogotá, Cartagena, Medellín and Ibagué, and also teaches Spanish on weekend trips around the country. Since 2003, young people and adults from nearly a hundred countries have studied with the school. The Bogotá school is in the traditional Quinta Camacho neighbourhood of Chapinero, in an old English-style house listed as part of the city's architectural heritage, four Transmilenio stops from the historic La Candelaria district. The Cartagena school is in the historic centre, in Getsemaní, and the Ibagué school is in the city centre.

Courses start every week at all levels and follow the Common European Framework of Reference and the guidelines of the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL). Besides in-person courses, Nueva Lengua offers online classes in groups or one to one, taught by native Spanish speakers with university degrees in teaching Spanish as a foreign language; the online private course has 15 hours of classes at flexible times between 8:00 and 18:00 Colombian time, Monday to Friday, and includes a placement test and a certificate stating the level reached.
