Purdue University Fort Wayne (PFW) is a university in Fort Wayne, Indiana's second-largest city, that awards Purdue University degrees. It has been operating for more than 50 years, has eight colleges and schools and is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission. PFW offers undergraduate programmes, including civil, mechanical, computer and electrical engineering and business at the Doermer School of Business, as well as master's degrees and graduate certificates, many with hybrid in-person and online options.
The Office of International Education guides international undergraduate and graduate applicants from application to arrival. First-year international applicants need a cumulative GPA of 2.3 on a 4.0 scale, a US$30 application fee and proof of English proficiency, such as TOEFL iBT 79 or IELTS 6.5. Students from partner universities can come as exchange students. For the 2026-27 academic year, full-time undergraduate tuition and mandatory fees for international students are US$25,160.10.
PFW offers a range of on-campus housing options, including the new Trace complex that opens for fall 2026, plus living and learning communities and meal plans.

PFW has eight colleges and schools offering undergraduate majors and minors; its online programme finder groups them by interests such as technology, languages, music, justice and business. Examples include civil, mechanical, computer and electrical engineering and business programmes at the Doermer School of Business. International students with IB, AP or British-system A levels may receive university credit.
PFW offers master's degrees and graduate certificates, with hybrid in-person and online options and part-time or full-time study; many programmes offer graduate assistantships. Examples include counselor education (M.S.Ed.) and certificates in applied statistics, school administration, special education and teaching English as a new language. Graduate applicants submit an application with a US$75 fee, transcripts, one to three recommendation letters and a statement of purpose.
International first-year and transfer applicants need:
- A completed application and US$30 application fee
- A cumulative GPA of 2.3 on a 4.0 scale
- Proof of English proficiency
- For engineering: a qualifying maths result, such as SAT Math 570 or ACT Math 24
IB, AP and A-level results may earn university credit, and credits from non-US institutions are evaluated by the Office of International Education. Exchange students from partner universities apply through their home coordinator or ISEP. Graduate applicants pay US$75 and submit transcripts, recommendations and a statement of purpose.
Undergraduate applicants show English proficiency with one of the following (valid for two years):

- Duolingo English Test 110
- PTE Academic 58

Applicants from listed countries are exempt.
Undergraduate tuition and mandatory fees for the 2026-27 academic year (full-time, 12-18 credit hours):
- International students (F, J and some other visas): US$25,160.10
- Non-resident (out-of-state): US$24,280.80
Estimated cost of attendance for international undergraduates in 2026-27, including housing (US$8,705.62) and food (US$4,402): US$38,267.72 in billed expenses, or about US$45,463.72 including books, transport and other costs. Course-specific fees are extra.
PFW offers a range of on-campus student apartments, including Trace at Purdue Fort Wayne, new for fall 2026, as well as living and learning communities and campus meal plans. Admitted students apply for housing through their goPFW account; first-time applicants pay a non-refundable US$250 application fee. The 2026-27 cost of attendance estimates housing at US$8,705.62 per year.
