Applicants who hold or will need a non-immigrant visa (such as F-1 or J-1) apply as international students, through the international undergraduate application for first-year and transfer students. Proof of English proficiency is required with the application. The application fee is waived for applicants who submit an official foreign credential evaluation from a NACES member. An enrolment deposit must be paid before the I-20 is issued. Prospective students can book a virtual one-on-one session with International Admissions.
International applicants must prove their English proficiency (for example with TOEFL or IELTS); accepted tests and minimum scores are set out in Rowan's English Language Policy. Applicants who meet every requirement except the language score may receive conditional admission and complete the English Language Program (ELP), a five-level non-credit programme, instead of resubmitting a test score.
