Saint Raphael Academy (SRA) is a Lasallian Catholic, co-educational college-preparatory high school in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. It was founded in 1924 by the Brothers of the Christian Schools, followers of Saint John Baptist de La Salle. The school occupies an eight-building, college-style campus in the historic Quality Hill District, and students walk from building to building between classes. It has a student-to-teacher ratio of 13 to 1 and an average class size of 18.

Alongside its college-preparatory curriculum, SRA offers athletics, clubs and activities, campus ministry and a fine arts programme:

  • Drama Club, with a fall musical and a spring one-act play for the RI State Drama Festival
  • Visual arts
  • Liturgical Choir, Gala Chorus and an instrumental ensemble
  • Dance Company

Tuition for the 2026-27 academic year includes a laptop for each student; rates for international students vary and are available from the Admissions Office. The school offers academic scholarships, a tuition credit for graduates of Rhode Island Catholic elementary schools and need-based financial aid. Fees

Tuition for the 2026-27 academic year is $15,150, including a $500 registration fee due each year. The fee includes a laptop computer for all four years, with insurance on the device. Rates for international students vary; the school asks them to contact the Admissions Office.

Financial Aid

Saint Raphael Academy offers three types of aid:

  • Academic scholarships, based on the entrance exam and academic record; no separate application is needed, and students who take the HSPT at the Academy get priority for merit aid
  • Rhode Island Catholic School Tuition Credit of $1,500 per year for graduates of a Rhode Island Catholic elementary school
  • Need-based financial aid, applied for through FACTS Tuition Management and funded by the school and the Diocese of Providence

Aid awards are for one year and must be renewed.
