Strayer University is an accredited online university in the United States. It was founded in 1892 by Dr. Seibert Irving Strayer as Strayer Business College in Baltimore, Maryland, and became Strayer University in 1998. It is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE), and its business degree programmes are accredited by the ACBSP. According to the university, it has 37,090 students worldwide, 91% of them part-time.

Strayer offers 23 degree programmes, from certificates and associate degrees to bachelor's and master's degrees, in fields such as business, accounting, information technology, education, criminal justice, public administration and health services administration. MBA programmes are also offered through the Jack Welch Management Institute, part of Strayer since 2011, and design programmes through the Media Design School at Strayer in Auckland. All courses are available online, and some can be taken in person at more than 75 campus locations in 15 US states and Washington, D.C.

The university states that it has hosted more than 4,000 international students from over 143 countries. Applicants apply online and then complete the process through the admissions portal; each student is supported by an admissions officer and a student services coach.
