SUNY is a system of public universities in New York, USA. It was established in 1948, and represents the largest system of universities, colleges, and community colleges in the world. Overall, it has 64 campuses around the state, including four University Centers. Accordingly, the system offers all types of undergraduate, postgraduate, and distance learning programs with the purpose to preserve the high quality of education in the public institutions of New York. With regard to this, in 2010, SUNY launched a new strategic plan, which is called the Power of SUNY.
