The British School of Almería (BSA) is a British international school in Roquetas de Mar (Almería), close to the beach in a residential area, at Calle Alemania 28. Its history goes back to 2006, and it is part of the International Schools Partnership (ISP) group.

BSA teaches the British curriculum together with subjects from the Spanish curriculum, so that students can earn both British and Spanish qualifications:

  • Early Years (ages 3 to 5): Early Years Foundation Stage, with native English-speaking teachers and bilingual assistants
  • Primary (ages 5 to 11): British National Curriculum with Spanish language and culture
  • Secondary (ages 11 to 16): IGCSE examinations and the Spanish ESO
  • Sixth Form (ages 16 to 18): A Levels and preparation for the PAU for Spanish universities

The school aims for students to reach C1 in English and B2 in French or German. The campus is by the beach and has sports facilities, a swimming pool, laboratories and specialist spaces, and the school runs a music school and a language academy. School transport is available. Families apply through an enquiry, a school tour and a meeting with the admissions team; from Year 3, students may take an English assessment.
