The Escuela Oficial de Idiomas de Roquetas de Mar is a public language school run by the Junta de Andalucía. It is located on Calle Pío Baroja in Roquetas de Mar and has four language departments: Spanish, German, French and English.

The Spanish department's timetable for the 2026-27 school year lists one first-year group (1ºA), which meets on Mondays and Wednesdays from 16:15 to 18:30. Candidates who only want to sit the official certification exams, without attending classes (enseñanza libre), can register for the Básico A2, Intermedio B1, Intermedio B2 or Avanzado C1 certificates, but at this school that option is offered only in German, French and English.

New students must apply for a place during the pre-enrolment process (preinscripción), using the forms available at the school office or online through the Junta de Andalucía's Secretaría Virtual. Fees are public: for 2026, enrolment in one language costs €81.41 for new students and €59.04 for returning students. Admission Requirements

Students starting at the school for the first time must apply for a place during the pre-enrolment process (preinscripción). Application forms are available at the school office, and the procedure can also be completed online through the Junta de Andalucía's Secretaría Virtual.

Fees

Public fees for 2026 (Junta de Andalucía), enrolment in one language:

  • New students: €81.41 (large families, general category: €40.70)
  • Returning students: €59.04 (large families: €29.52)
  • Each additional language: €50.09 (large families: €25.04)

Returning students are those previously enrolled at any official language school in Andalusia. Paying online gives a further discount of €3 on fees under €30 and 10% on higher fees.
