- Online MSc courses, studied 100% online
- Postgraduate research degrees (doctorates) through the Doctoral College
- Pre-Master's Programme for international students

Undergraduate applications, including those from international students, are made online through UCAS (institution code B16) before the relevant UCAS deadline. Each course has its own entry requirements; applicants need a Level 3 qualification such as A levels or the International Baccalaureate, or an equivalent. The UCAS application includes a personal statement and an academic reference from the most recent place of education. Some courses invite applicants to an interview. Help with the application is available from the university's representatives in many countries.
Besides the course entry requirements, international applicants must provide proof of their English level, as required by the Home Office for a Student visa; the required scores are set per course. Applicants who need to improve their English can take a 5- or 10-week pre-sessional English course in the summer before the first semester.
Annual undergraduate tuition fees for overseas students starting in the 2027-28 academic year:
- Humanities and social sciences (mainly library-based courses): £26,150
- Economics-related and School of Management courses: £29,500
- Science, engineering, health and psychology courses: £32,950
Students should budget for an increase of up to 8% for each year of the course. EU nationals starting in September 2027 may have Home or Overseas fee status depending on their circumstances.
Overseas fee-paying students may be eligible for university or external financial support. For undergraduates entering in 2026-27 the university offers the Bath International Excellence Scholarship, and it publishes a list of external organisations that fund undergraduate study. There is specific information on funding and loans for US and Canadian students, and separate funding pages for taught postgraduate and doctoral study.
