United International University (UIU) is a private university in Bangladesh, approved by the Government of Bangladesh and the University Grants Commission (UGC). It was established with the support of the United Group, a Bangladeshi business conglomerate. Since February 2018 all its academic and administrative activities have been on its permanent campus at United City, Madani Avenue, Badda, built on a 25-bigha plot. The university reports more than 200 full-time faculty members and nearly 15,000 graduates.
UIU offers 12 undergraduate programmes from four schools, five graduate programmes from three schools and more than 40 short professional courses. It also has three research institutes and five research centres.
- Business and economics: BBA, BBA in Accounting and Information Systems, BSc in Economics
- Science and engineering: Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Data Science, Electrical and Electronic Engineering
- Social sciences and humanities: Environment and Development Studies, Media Studies and Journalism, English
- Life sciences: Pharmacy, Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering
- Graduate programmes including the MBA and Executive MBA
The admission form is available online, and a dedicated office (CIAC) handles admission queries from international students. According to the university, it awards about 10 to 12 crore taka in scholarships and tuition fee waivers every year.

Most programmes run on trimesters (for example, 12 trimesters for the BBA); the B. Pharm. runs over 8 semesters.
Scholarships and financial aid
According to the university, UIU awards about 10 to 12 crore taka a year in scholarships and tuition fee waivers. The fee table shows tuition with 25% and 50% waivers, subject to conditions. Rules include:
- Students entitled to both a scholarship and a waiver receive only the better one
- Waivers and scholarships do not apply to thesis, project, internship, retake or repeat courses
- The fee for a retaken or repeated course is reduced by 50% the first time
- Students with an "I" grade or an improvement exam lose scholarship eligibility for the next term
