The Universidad de Córdoba (Unicórdoba) is a university in Montería, in the department of Córdoba on Colombia's Caribbean coast. Classes began on 6 April 1964 with two faculties, agronomic engineering and veterinary medicine and animal science, reflecting the region's farming economy. Because it was created by an act of the Colombian Congress, it has national status, and it is supervised by Colombia's Ministry of Education. Besides the main site in Montería, it has locations in Lorica, Sahagún, Montelíbano and Berástegui.
Teaching is organised in seven faculties:
- Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science
- Agricultural Sciences
- Engineering
- Basic Sciences
- Health Sciences
- Education and Human Sciences
- Economic, Legal and Administrative Sciences
The university offers more than 35 postgraduate programmes, including specialisations, master's degrees and doctorates, taught in person, online or in hybrid format. Research has a long history, starting with the CINPIC freshwater fish research centre. Other services include a language centre, an academic exchange office and student welfare services. Applications for undergraduate study are made online through the admissions office.

Graduate programmes
Unicórdoba offers more than 35 postgraduate programmes in person, online or in hybrid format:
- Specialisations, for example in physical activity and health
- Master's degrees, for example in education and social sciences
- Doctorates
Some programmes are run with the SUE Caribe network of universities. Tuition can be financed through SUFI Bancolombia, ICETEX, banks or deferred payment with the university.
Admission
Undergraduate applicants register online, complete the form, upload the required documents and pay the application fee; the application is valid only once payment is made.
Postgraduate applicants submit through the online form:
- A letter of intent for the chosen programme
- A copy of their university degree certificate
- A signed CV with supporting documents and a copy of their ID card or, for foreigners, passport
- An academic transcript (for non-Unicórdoba graduates)
Degrees obtained abroad must be validated by Colombia's Ministry of Education. Some programmes also require an interview.
