The Universidad de León (ULE) is a university in León, in the north-west of Spain, in the western part of the region of Castile and León. It was created in 1979; before then, university studies in the city, beginning with the Faculty of Veterinary Science in 1943, depended on the Universidad de Oviedo. Its main campus lies outside the city centre, between the San Mamés district and Villaobispo, while the rectorate occupies the former Veterinary building in the centre of León. The university also has a campus in Ponferrada, 110 km west of León. Both cities lie on the Camino de Santiago.
The academic offer includes bachelor's degrees (grados), master's degrees, doctoral programmes, the university's own qualifications (títulos propios) and online degrees, as well as summer courses. Students from foreign education systems can apply for admission to bachelor's and master's programmes, and there is a separate enrolment procedure for international students coming through official agreements or mobility programmes. Enrolment is done online through the university's Secretaría Virtual.

Routes of admission to bachelor's degrees (grados):
- University entrance exam (PAU)
- Entrance exam for applicants over 25, or an adapted exam for applicants over 45, without academic qualifications
- Access for applicants over 40 with accredited work or professional experience
- Access with a higher-education qualification
- Access for students from foreign education systems, also for master's degrees
Admission to bachelor's degrees uses subject weightings and cut-off marks, and the degree in Physical Activity and Sport Sciences also requires physical tests.
