The Universidad Europea del Atlántico (UNEATLANTICO) is a university in Santander, Cantabria, which describes itself as plurilingual and multicultural. Teaching is organised in a Faculty of Health Sciences, a Higher Polytechnic School and a Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities.
Its official bachelor's degrees cover:
- Health and food: Psychology, Human Nutrition and Dietetics, Food Science and Technology, Gastronomy, Sport Sciences
- Engineering: Computer Engineering, Industrial Organisation, Agri-food Engineering, Building Engineering (Arquitectura Técnica)
- Business, education and languages: Business Administration, Primary Education, Translation and Language Teaching, International Relations
- Communication: Journalism, Advertising and Public Relations, Audiovisual Communication
Several degrees can be combined with a university expert certificate (for example in cybersecurity), or taken as double degrees. Master's degrees are mostly online, with some on campus. Bachelor's degrees are taught in Spanish, apart from some subjects in English; non-native speakers need at least level B2 in Spanish. The International Relations Office advises on student visas and on recognition of foreign secondary school diplomas, and the university works with representation offices abroad, including one in New York, in collaboration with FUNIBER. Its residence, 500 metres from the campus, offers shared apartments and studios.

Admission
Applicants for a bachelor's degree need one of the legal access routes:
- Spanish university entrance exam (PAU/EBAU) or access exam for over-25s
- International Baccalaureate or European Baccalaureate, with the UNED access credential
- Secondary diploma from an EU country, China, Switzerland or another country with a bilateral agreement, with the UNED access credential
- Other foreign secondary diplomas, recognised (homologado) as the Spanish Bachillerato
- Higher vocational qualification (FP Grado Superior), prior university studies, or professional experience for over-40s
Applicants submit a pre-registration form with ID or passport, take a digital aptitude test for the chosen degree and reserve a place; admission becomes final on enrolment.
Language requirements
Bachelor's degrees are taught in Spanish, except for some subjects in English. Applicants who are not nationals of a Spanish-speaking country must prove at least CEFR level B2 in Spanish (C1 for Primary Education and for Translation and Language Teaching), for example with a DELE certificate. Primary Education and Translation and Language Teaching also require at least B1 in English; applicants without a certificate can take the university's own level test.
Housing
The UNEATLANTICO University Residence in Santander is 500 metres from the campus and well connected to the city centre. It houses students, lecturers and researchers in:
- 35 four-bedroom shared apartments for 5 or 6 people, with private bathrooms and single or double rooms
- 59 studios shared by two people
- 7 triple studios and 3 single studios
- 6 places adapted for people with disabilities
