The Universidade do Porto (University of Porto, U.Porto) is a public university in Porto, Portugal. It was officially established on 22 March 1911, shortly after the proclamation of the Portuguese Republic, and today is a public foundation regulated by private law. Teaching is organised in 15 faculties; for 2022/2023 the university reported more than 350 courses, over 54,000 enrolled students and 45 research units.
U.Porto offers bachelor's degrees, integrated master's degrees, master's degrees and doctorates. Bachelor's degrees last three or four years (180 or 240 ECTS credits) and integrated master's degrees, for example in Medicine, Architecture or Veterinary Medicine, five or six years (300 or 360 ECTS credits). The bachelor's degrees in Business Administration and Economics are also offered in English.
The main route into bachelor's and integrated master's programmes is Portugal's National Call for Applications to Public Higher Education, organised by the Directorate-General for Higher Education (DGES). Students who completed a course legally equivalent to Portuguese secondary education, such as EU students, are also eligible, and there is a special call for international students. For students with international student status, each faculty sets the tuition fee according to the real cost of the course.

Most students enter bachelor's and integrated master's programmes through Portugal's National Call for Applications to Public Higher Education, run by the Directorate-General for Higher Education (DGES) in three phases. Applicants need a completed secondary education or equivalent and the national examinations required as admission tests for the course; for applicants with a qualification legally equivalent to Portuguese secondary education, such as EU students, the final examinations of that qualification replace the admission tests. Applications are made online on the DGES portal. Some courses have physical, functional or vocational prerequisites. Special calls exist for international students and for applicants over the age of 23.
- Bachelor's degrees: six to eight semesters (3 or 4 years), 180 or 240 ECTS credits
- Integrated master's degrees: ten to twelve semesters (5 or 6 years), 300 or 360 ECTS credits
Integrated master's students who complete the first 180 credits (three years) may be awarded a bachelor's degree.
