The Université de Picardie Jules Verne (UPJV) is a multidisciplinary university in the Hauts-de-France region of France. It welcomes about 32,000 students a year on six campuses: Amiens, Beauvais, Saint-Quentin, Creil, Laon and Cuffies-Soissons. Teaching is organised in 12 faculties (UFR), seven institutes and one engineering school, the École d'Ingénieurs Jules Verne, and research is carried out in 36 research units and two doctoral schools.

  • Arts, literature and languages
  • Law, economics and management, including the IAE business school
  • Humanities and social sciences
  • Sciences, technology and health, including medicine, pharmacy and dentistry

The university offers bachelor's (licence), master's and doctoral degrees and three university institutes of technology (IUT). Exchange students from partner universities (Erasmus+, ISEP or bilateral agreements) pay no registration fees at UPJV and need at least B1 in French; its Centre FLE, which holds the Qualité FLE label, offers them free French courses worth 8 ECTS. The UPJV holds the two-star 'Bienvenue en France' label, renewed in 2025, and runs a welcome desk, a Buddy System with local students, and help with housing through the CROUS Amiens-Picardie.
