The Université de Technologie de Compiègne (UTC) is a public higher-education institution in Compiègne, France, created in 1972 by the French government as the country's first experimental university of technology. It describes itself as both a French national university and an engineering school, training students for engineering, master's, PhD and continuing education degrees. Teaching takes place at several centres in Compiègne, such as Benjamin Franklin and Pierre Guillaumat, and UTC also has a site in Paris.

  • Engineering diploma: two-year core programme followed by a major in biological, computer, mechanical, industrial process or urban engineering
  • Master's degrees, including the English-taught Erasmus Mundus master EPOG+ and the Erasmus Mundus master EMSSE

UTC encourages stays abroad during studies, which can take the form of courses, technical internships or end-of-studies projects, and the engineering diploma can also be taken as an apprenticeship.

Engineering diploma: the first two years are a core programme (or the alternative Humanities and Technology course, Hutech), after which students choose a major:

  • Biological engineering (GB)
  • Computer science and engineering (GI)
  • Mechanical engineering (IM)
  • Industrial process engineering (GP)
  • Urban engineering (GU)

Humanities and social sciences, minors and a management of innovative projects specialty complement the curriculum. UTC also offers the Bachelor UTC/EDHEC, a Bachelor's degree in Digital Engineering and Management (ID&M) and a vocational degree in maintenance of multi-technical systems.
