Language requirements

All courses are taught in French, so students must be able to read, write and take notes in French. ULCO requires a B2 level of French on the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR). French language courses are offered to international students.

Housing

The CROUS de Lille, ULCO's main housing partner, runs university residences and restaurants. Students apply for a CROUS room each year through the online student social file (DSE); procedures for international students depend on their status (scholarship holder, exchange student). There are CROUS residences in Boulogne-sur-Mer, Calais, Dunkirk and Saint-Omer, private student residences with studios in Dunkirk and Calais, and private listings approved by CROUS on Lokaviz.
