The Université Paris-Panthéon-Assas is a French university with the status of grand établissement, with its main centre in the historic heart of Paris. It has more than 23,000 students, 340 programmes, 26 research centres and 25 sites in France. Studies follow the European bachelor-master-doctorate (LMD) structure.

Programmes taught in English include LL.M. degrees in Paris, Singapore and Mauritius and, in Mauritius, an LL.B. and a bachelor's in economics and finance. The university has more than 180 partner institutions worldwide, holds the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education and belongs to the 4EU+ European alliance. Exchange students and other international students can take French as a foreign language courses from A1 to C1 level, with ECTS credits.

Bachelor's degrees (licence, 3 years, 180 ECTS), mainly taught in French, in law, economics and management, political science and information and communication, including a double degree in law and business management. Taught in English:
- LL.B. Bachelor of Laws (Mauritius)
- Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Finance (Hons) (Mauritius)
Summer schools include Law and Economics of the International Commercial Order (Yale-Assas) and Artificial Intelligence in Singapore.
Master's degrees (2 years after the licence) in law, economics, public policy, international relations, political science, management and media, and doctorates. LL.M. programmes taught in English:
- Paris: Public Law and Democracy; AWArDS (Assas World Arbitration and Disputes Settlement); European Law; International Business Law; International Construction Contracts
- Singapore: International Construction Contracts; International Business Law

Application procedures differ by programme, and each course page explains how to apply. For most master's programmes, selection takes place at entry to the first year (M1); for the master's in law, selection is at entry to the second year (M2). After admission, registration takes place in several stages described in the university's welcome guide for international students.
French as a foreign language courses are open to exchange students, international students outside exchange programmes and visiting PhD students and researchers. Courses run for one or two 12-week semesters at CEFR levels A1 to C1, with placement by an online level test, and earn ECTS credits. They include general French, grammar, French for Academic Purposes and preparation for the Certificat de Français de Spécialité (CFS), a C1-level university diploma recommended for B2 students planning a master's.
