University of South Florida - Overseas Study Programs Office

The University of South Florida (USF) is a public university in the Tampa Bay region of Florida, founded in 1956 and part of the State University System of Florida. Its main campus is in Tampa and it has a branch campus in St. Petersburg. USF serves nearly 50,000 students and offers more than 200 programs from 14 colleges. It is accredited by SACSCOC and is a member of the Association of American Universities (AAU).

Education Abroad is the USF office for study abroad. It offers programs for every major, in three formats:

• Short-term programs during Spring Break, Maymester and Winter Break
• Summer programs lasting from two weeks to more than two months, as an academic program, an internship or both
• Semester programs, in which students spend a semester or an academic year at one of USF's partner schools

USF offers dedicated scholarships for study abroad, and financial aid can be applied to credits earned abroad. Out-of-state students can have out-of-state fees waived on eligible programs. The Education Abroad website also has a section for students who are not enrolled at USF.
