Schiller International University is a private U.S.-based university with an international scope, accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC). It has four campuses: Tampa, Florida, in the United States, and Madrid, Paris and Heidelberg in Europe. Teaching follows the American higher-education curriculum, and students can move between campuses after their first year. The university has more than 60 years of history and students of over 130 nationalities.

Through partnerships, students can earn a dual degree: a U.S. degree from Schiller and a European degree from Dublin Business School or the University of Roehampton. The master's programmes in International Relations and Diplomacy and in Sustainability Management are run in partnership with UNITAR. Graduate students follow a schedule of one course per month over four days. Schiller takes part in U.S. Federal Financial Aid (Title IV) programmes and offers merit- and need-based scholarships.

Bachelor's degrees (four years full time), following the U.S. curriculum with general education and subject courses:

  • BA in International Relations and Diplomacy (Madrid, Paris, Heidelberg, Tampa; also online)
  • BS in International Business (also online)
  • BS in International Hospitality and Tourism Management
  • BS in International Marketing
  • BS in Computer Science
  • BS in Business Analytics

Students with an IB Diploma can receive credit for eligible IB coursework, up to 27 credits.

Graduate students take one course per month over four days, a schedule designed to fit around full-time work.

Admission

Applicants submit the application form and a copy of their passport (or national ID for distance learning and non-visa applicants) to an enrollment advisor and may receive a Conditional Offer Letter. To obtain an Unconditional Offer Letter they then provide proof of the deposit payment, transcripts and diploma (with a sworn English translation if needed), an academic interview, an online readiness test, their degree path choice and proof of English proficiency. After tuition payment, the university issues the enrolment documents and, for students who need one, a visa support letter.

Language requirements

Programmes are taught in English. Applicants need an accepted English qualification, for example IELTS 5.5 for undergraduate or 6.0 for graduate programmes; TOEFL, TOEIC, Cambridge, Duolingo, Linguaskill and Pearson tests are also accepted. The requirement may be waived for students who completed high school or a bachelor's degree taught in English.
