The University of Yamanashi (山梨大学) is a Japanese national university, run as the national university corporation 国立大学法人山梨大学. It has two campuses. The Kofu campus, at 4-4-37 Takeda in Kofu, houses the faculties of Education, Engineering and Life and Environmental Sciences. The medical campus in Chuo City is home to the Faculty of Medicine and the university hospital. A shuttle bus runs between the campuses.
Teaching is organised in four faculties and a graduate school:
- Faculty of Education
- Faculty of Medicine
- Faculty of Engineering
- Faculty of Life and Environmental Sciences
- Graduate School, with master's courses such as Life and Environmental Sciences
The university also holds an autumn entrance ceremony. Study abroad and international students are handled by the Global Promotion Division (グローバル推進課). Separate offices deal with admissions, tuition fee exemptions and scholarships, and student dormitories. The university also runs short programmes such as a hydrogen summer school.
