The University of Evansville (UE) is a private, United Methodist Church-related comprehensive university in Evansville, Indiana (United States). Its history goes back to 1854, when Moores Hill Male and Female Collegiate Institute was chartered; the college moved to Evansville in 1919 and took its current name in 1967. UE has approximately 2,300 students from 43 US states and 52 countries.

Undergraduate study (more than 75 majors and minors) is organised in the William L. Ridgway College of Arts and Sciences, the College of Business and Engineering and the College of Education and Health Sciences. Several majors can be completed in three years ("Degrees in 3"), and the university also offers master's and doctoral programmes, mainly in health, education and leadership. UE runs its own study abroad centre at Harlaxton, a Victorian manor in Grantham, England.

International applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, and admission and scholarships are assessed together: almost all admitted international undergraduates receive a merit scholarship. Campus housing includes several residence halls as well as apartments and townhouses.
