Language school in Salamanca, Spain
The Colegio de España is a Spanish language school in Salamanca, housed in a 17th-century building on Calle Compañía, a pedestrian street in the historic centre less than two minutes' walk from the Plaza Mayor. It is an accredited centre of the Instituto Cervantes. Intensive courses start every Monday of the year at all six levels, with groups of usually 7 to 8 students (12 at most) and a communicative teaching approach.

Students who take at least 50 sessions of certain courses can obtain university credits granted by the Universidad Pontificia de Salamanca. There is no registration fee. The school arranges accommodation with Spanish host families, in shared or private flats, in university residences or in hotels.

Intensive courses start any Monday, at all levels, from 4 daily sessions. Students take a placement test before starting and receive an attendance certificate.
Fees
Prices for 2026: the Intensive Spanish Language Course starts at €260 (shortest option); each extra week beyond 12 weeks costs €150 (special offer). Books cost €27 per course, paid on the first day. There is no registration fee for any course.
Housing
The school arranges accommodation in Salamanca:
- Spanish host family, in a single or double room with full or half board; weekly laundry included
- Shared student flat with 2 to 4 bedrooms, subject to availability
- Private flat or studio in the city centre
- University residence, shared with students of the Universidad de Salamanca or the Universidad Pontificia de Salamanca
- Hotel in the historic centre
