The Institute of European Studies was established in 1979, and since then it has been following a number of goals. First, to assist in the creation of multidisciplinary research teams, who carry out their work in the context of the European and international situation; to organize seminars, workshops, conferences and publications with the purpose of fostering knowledge and initiating discussion on the state of the European and international environment; and finally, to develop all sorts of other activities that take into consideration the cultural and economic changes taking place on the European scene.
The institute also provides a Master of Arts in Euroculture, which is a multidisciplinary degree focusing on the European Union, its current state, values and possible future development.
