Ecole des Trois Ponts

The Ecole des Trois Ponts is a residential French immersion school for adults in the Loire area of France. It was founded in 1991 by René Dorel and was based at the Château de Matel in Roanne until 2008, when it moved to the Villa Beaulieu in nearby Riorges. Since 2015 it has been run by its director and owner, Valérie Perez. The school is both a residence and a school: students live, eat and study on site and speak French throughout the day.
Courses are for all levels, taught by native French speakers in small groups of up to six students or as private classes. Besides general French, the school offers combined courses:
- French and cooking
- French and pastry or chocolate
- French and countryside walks
- French and history
Individuals, couples, business people and families are welcome. The 2027 calendar has course weeks from March to June and from July to November. Accommodation and meals are included in the course fees: the villa has nine guest rooms (single, double or twin, each with a private bathroom), and a host family nearby is an off-site option. Only French is spoken at meals.

Housing
Accommodation and meals are included in the course fees. The Villa Beaulieu has nine guest rooms in two annexes (single, double or twin, each with a private bathroom and free Wi-Fi), and meals are prepared by the in-house chef. From November to February, lunch and dinner are usually taken at a local restaurant. As an off-site option, students can stay with a host family no more than 15 minutes' walk away, having breakfast with the family and other meals at the villa.
