The Institut d'Estudis Financers (IEF, Instituto de Estudios Financieros) is a Barcelona-based organisation that describes itself as a financial hub for innovation and knowledge in finance. Its open training programmes for individuals are offered through its finance school, Barcelona Finance School.
IEF works in four areas:
- Corporate Programs: tailored finance training for company teams, using methods such as mentoring, coaching, masterclasses, team work and real case studies
- Advisoring Services (advisory services)
- Research Institute, which includes the Observatorio de Divulgación Financiera and international projects such as the European EQUAL-CARE project
- Financial Literacy, including financial and entrepreneurship education programmes in Catalonia and finance for young people
Since 2008, IEF has awarded the annual IEF Awards for Financial Excellence (Premios IEF a la Excelencia Financiera). Its offices are at Avinguda Diagonal 452 in Barcelona.
