The international programmes of Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University (SPbPU, also called Polytech) are run by its International Office, based at Grazhdansky prospekt 28 in St. Petersburg, Russia. The office handles the recruitment and admission of foreign students, the University Foundation Program, degree programmes taught in English, double degrees, summer schools and exchanges. The campus is close to four metro stations.
SPbPU teaches in Russian and English, in fields ranging from physics, engineering, biomedicine and energy technology to digital entrepreneurship and international business. Options for international students include:
- Russian language: University Foundation Program, Russian Language Program and summer school
- Bachelor's, master's and PhD programmes taught in Russian
- Double-degree bachelor's and master's programmes in English, and joint PhD programmes
- Semester and exchange programmes
Students can apply as self-funded students or for state-funded places, for example through the Open Doors scholarship project, and the university offers visa support. More than 7,000 students from other cities and countries live in the university dormitories. International students usually live in two-room blocks in the Grazhdansky prospekt complex.

Housing
SPbPU has three dormitory complexes (Lesnoy prospekt, Ploshchad Muzhestva and Grazhdansky prospekt), where more than 7,000 students from other cities and countries live. All are close to the academic buildings and to metro stations. International students usually live in two-room furnished blocks in the Grazhdansky prospekt complex or in the new dormitory No. 8 at Ploshchad Muzhestva. Dormitories have tennis and fitness rooms, study rooms, launderettes, broadband internet, digital TV and free Wi-Fi zones.
