The Universidad de Concepción (UdeC) is a secular and pluralist university in Concepción, in Chile's Biobío Region. It opened at the beginning of 1919, after a local committee decided not to wait for the government to create a university. Besides the main campus in Concepción, it has campuses in Chillán and Los Ángeles and an office in Santiago. The university states that it has more than 30,000 students, and that it is ranked 11th in Latin America and the Caribbean in the QS 2027 ranking.

UdeC offers:

  • More than 150 postgraduate programmes: master's (magíster), doctorates and health specialties
