Fachhochschule Oberösterreich (FH OÖ) is a university of applied sciences in Upper Austria with four faculties, each on its own campus: Hagenberg (computing, communication and media), Linz (medical engineering and applied social sciences), Steyr (business and management) and Wels (engineering and applied natural sciences). It offers 77 bachelor's and master's programmes with a practical, industry-oriented focus.

Programmes can be studied full time, part time alongside work or in a dual format. Bachelor's programmes usually last six semesters and master's programmes four. Programmes are taught in German or English, such as the bachelor's in AI-Driven Computer Science and the master's in Artificial Intelligence & Data Engineering. FH OÖ has more than 250 partner universities worldwide and offers semesters abroad.

Admission

Bachelor's programmes require a university entrance qualification obtained in Austria or recognised there. Master's programmes require a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or an equivalent or higher degree, from a recognised Austrian or foreign higher education institution.

After the online application, applicants who meet the formal requirements are invited to an advisory and admission interview. Some programmes also require an aptitude test, and some (mainly media programmes) a portfolio.

Duration

Bachelor's programmes usually last six semesters and master's programmes four semesters. Programmes are offered full time, part time alongside work, or in a dual format, depending on the programme.
