This is a public learning institution located in Morgantown city along the Monongahela River and it was established in 1867. West Virginia University offers over 200 undergraduate, graduate, doctorate and professional programs across its 15 colleges. Some of the graduate degrees include those offered at the College of Engineering and Mineral Resources, College of Business and Economics, and the School of Medicine. The university has other campuses including Charleston Area Medical Center in Charleston, Potomac State College of West Virginia University in Keyser, and West Virginia University Institute of Technology in Beckley.
