Avila College is a Roman Catholic Independent school for girls, founded in 1965. It is situated in the Melbourne suburb of Mount Waverley and offers liberal arts, professional, undergraduate and graduate education to both domestic and international students. The main purpose of the university is to achieve academic excellence by providing an educational experience rooted in the Catholic tradition and in the spirit of the Sisters of St. Joseph. All educational endeavors within the institution emphasize communication and thinking skills, knowledge, and personal, social and spiritual development of each student.
