Africa University
University, Graduate school in Mutare, Zimbabwe
Africa University is a church-related university in Old Mutare, Zimbabwe. Its mission is to provide pan-African-centred higher education grounded in Christian values and to develop leadership skills relevant to Africa's development. The university has more than 2,400 students, drawn from across Africa, and its residences house students of over 30 nationalities.
Teaching is organised in four colleges and a law school, offering more than 65 undergraduate and graduate programmes in small classes:
- College of Business and Management Sciences
- College of Engineering and Applied Sciences
- College of Health, Agriculture and Natural Sciences
- College of Social Sciences, Theology, Humanities and Education
- School of Law
Programmes range from honours bachelor's degrees, such as Laws (LLB), Medical Laboratory Sciences, Artificial Intelligence and Divinity, to master's degrees, an Executive MBA and PhDs in fields such as public health and peace, leadership and governance. Online programmes are offered through the AU Global Campus, based in Harare. The main campus has single-sex halls of residence; places are limited and allocated by priority, with students with disabilities, scholarship holders, international students and first-year students first, and university-vetted off-campus housing is available for others.

- PhDs in public health, intellectual property, peace leadership and governance, and child rights and childhood studies

Housing
Africa University has single-sex halls of residence on campus. Undergraduates share triple rooms and graduate students double rooms; each corridor has its own bathrooms, laundry and common room, and rooms are allocated with a nationality mix. Places are limited and given in this order of priority:
- Students with disabilities and scholarship holders
- International students and first-year students
- Continuing, final-year and graduate students
Students without a campus place can use off-campus housing vetted by the university, with buses to and from campus.
