Angelo State University (ASU) is a public university in San Angelo, West Texas, founded in 1928 and part of the Texas Tech University System. It has 12,003 students and a student-to-faculty ratio of 19:1. ASU offers 49 undergraduate degrees, 32 master's degrees and four doctoral degrees, with more than 100 majors and concentrations, over 50 online programmes and five-year integrated bachelor's/master's options. Its six colleges are:

All classes are taught in English. The Center for International Studies handles international admission and visas, runs study abroad, and offers the English Language Learners' Institute (ELLI) for students who want to improve their English. The ASU Distinguished Scholarship Program funds scholarships for one in three students, and SAT or ACT scores let international applicants compete for ASU scholarships.

49 undergraduate degrees in six colleges, covering health and human services, arts and humanities, education, science and engineering, and business. Examples include Accounting, Agribusiness, Animal Science, Agriculture Science and Communications, and Applied Arts and Sciences (a pathway from an associate degree to a bachelor's). Some programmes, such as Accounting, are offered as five-year integrated bachelor's/master's degrees. Aerospace Studies/ROTC is also available.
The College of Graduate Studies and Research offers more than 30 master's and doctoral degrees, many online or hybrid. Examples:

International applicants send all documents to the Center for International Studies as scanned PDFs:
- Application through ApplyTexas and a non-refundable US$50 fee (no fee waivers)
- Official secondary school and any college transcripts
- Proof of English proficiency
- Official Financial Statement Form signed by the sponsor and an official bank statement in US dollars
- SAT or ACT scores (optional, needed only to compete for ASU scholarships)
Admitted students receive a Form I-20 to apply for the F-1 visa. All international students must take a Texas Success Initiative (TSI) assessment, which can be done after arrival, and show a bacterial meningitis vaccination.
All classes are taught in English. Non-native speakers need one of: TOEFL paper-based 550, TOEFL iBT 69, IELTS 6, Duolingo 100, Pearson PTE 60, Cambridge B2 (or C1 Advanced, C2 Proficiency), an ELS certificate (level 112) or completion of a CEA-accredited English programme. Students who need to improve their English can apply separately to the English Language Learners' Institute (ELLI).
Tuition and fees for Fall 2026 - Spring 2027 (two semesters), non-resident rate: US$22,502 for undergraduates (15 credit hours per semester) and US$15,281.20 for graduate students (9 credit hours per semester). International students also pay health insurance of US$3,123 per year.
The ASU Distinguished Scholarship Program funds scholarships for one in every three students, and 65% of students receive scholarships. International applicants who want to compete for ASU scholarships must submit SAT or ACT scores.
