Aurinkorannikon suomalainen koulu (Colegio Finlandés)
Primary and secondary school in Fuengirola, Spain
Aurinkorannikon suomalainen koulu (Colegio Finlandés) is a private Finnish school in the Los Pacos area of Fuengirola (Málaga). It operates under Finland's basic education and upper secondary school acts and has the right to award Finnish certificates. The school's website is in Finnish.
Teaching follows school curricula based on the Finnish national curricula, from pre-primary education through basic education (grades 1-9) to upper secondary school (lukio). The lukio opened on 1 August 2007; the school describes it as the only Finnish upper secondary school operating abroad. Upper secondary students can attend for a whole school year or for individual study periods. Knowledge of Spanish language and culture is a central part of teaching, and pupils have access to school health care, a school social worker, a school psychologist and special-needs support. Meals are cooked on site.
Enrolment is for one school year at a time and is done only through the school's online form; enrolment for 2026-27 opened on 26 January 2026. A place in the lukio can only be confirmed for students with Finnish citizenship and a home municipality in Finland, and upper secondary students arrange their own housing.
