CLÉ (Centre Linguistique pour Etrangers) is a small school of French as a foreign language in Tours, France, founded in 1985. It teaches French to adults from around the world in small groups, and the school states that four French ministries have awarded it the "French Foreign Language" quality label. Staff speak French and English.
- Group classes: 20 hours of general French per week, at most 7 students per class, levels A2 to C1, starting every Monday
- Private lessons for all levels from A0, up to 30 hours per week, on topics such as wine and gastronomy, medicine and science or DELF/DALF preparation
- French+: morning classes combined with afternoon activities such as visits to Loire Valley castles, cycling along the Loire or cooking workshops
- Online private lessons
- Exams held at the school: TEF, TCF and the civics exam for residency or naturalisation
All students take a placement test before arrival. For accommodation, the school arranges stays with French host families (individual room, breakfast and dinner) and has a small guest house in the school building with studios and one-bedroom apartments; students can also book their own flat in the historic centre of Tours.
