Colegio Internacional Torrequebrada (CIT) is a private, secular, bilingual school in Benalmádena, on the Costa del Sol in the province of Málaga. It opened in 2004 and teaches children from Infant (age 2) to Baccalaureate (age 18). Its educational community includes more than 30 nationalities.
The school is an IB World School and offers the full continuum of International Baccalaureate programmes; it states that it was the first school in the province to offer all three:
- Infant, ages 2-5 (IB Primary Years Programme)
- Primary, ages 6-11 (IB Primary Years Programme)
- Secondary, ages 12-16 (IB Middle Years Programme)
- Baccalaureate, ages 16-18 (IB Diploma Programme)
Alongside the IB programmes, CIT runs its own Experiential Curriculum of trips, challenges and workshops, and applies Positive Discipline in the classroom. The school states that it belongs to the International Baccalaureate World Schools network and to the network of British schools in Spain. Admission starts with an information request, followed by a meeting with the admissions team, an offer of a place depending on availability and an admission interview with the student. Summer camps for ages 2 to 18 are held on the Benalmádena campus.
