Curtin University is a university in Western Australia named after John Curtin, Australia's fourteenth prime minister. Its origins go back to the Perth Technical School, founded in the early 1900s. The largest campus, Curtin Perth, is in Bentley, about six kilometres south-east of central Perth; the university also has city premises on Murray Street (home of the Graduate School of Business and the Law School) and St Georges Terrace, and a campus in Kalgoorlie, base of the WA School of Mines. Abroad, it has campuses in Malaysia, Singapore, Dubai, Mauritius and Colombo.

Study areas include agriculture and environment, architecture and construction, arts and creative industries, business, management and law, education, engineering, mining and surveying, health, information technology and the physical sciences. Most bachelor's degrees take 3 or 4 years full time, and Curtin also offers double and honours degrees and some online study. The university states that it is ranked #5 in the world for mineral and mining engineering.

Curtin has exchange agreements with more than 80 partner institutions in almost 20 countries. Student accommodation at the Perth campus is within a ten-minute walk of the campus centre, and accommodation coaches help students find on- or off-campus housing.
