Deree – The American College of Greece

Deree – The American College of Greece (ACG) is an independent, not-for-profit, nonsectarian and co-educational institution in Athens, Greece. It was founded in 1875 in Smyrna, and the college describes itself as the oldest and largest U.S.-accredited comprehensive educational institution in Europe. Its main campus, covering 64 acres, is in Aghia Paraskevi; the ALBA Graduate Business School is based at the Downtown Campus in central Athens. Students come from more than 86 countries.

ACG offers 35 programmes of study, 65 minors, 6 cooperative programmes with Clarkson University and 8 graduate programmes. Undergraduate programmes are run by three schools:

• School of Business and Economics
• School of Science and Technology
• Frances Rich School of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences

Master's degrees cover psychology, communication and education, and there are also MS programmes in Data Science and Cybersecurity. International students can join a study abroad programme in Athens for a summer session, a semester or a full year. ACG has a financial assistance programme, and eligible U.S. students may use U.S. Federal Direct Loans. The college runs residence complexes and student apartments a short walk from campus, with furnished studios and single or double bedrooms in shared apartments. It also has an English Language Center.
