EDI - Escuela Superior de Diseño de la Región de Murcia

Higher education centre in Murcia, Spain

The Escuela Superior de Diseño de la Región de Murcia (Edi) is a public school of design that depends on the Department of Education of the Region of Murcia. It has taught design degrees since 2003 and is located next to the Espinardo university campus near Murcia, reachable by tram and bus. The school has more than 400 students, teachers and staff and admits about 90 new students each year.

Its studies lead to the official Grado en Enseñanzas Artísticas Superiores de Diseño (240 ECTS, MECES level 2 / EQF level 6, equivalent to a bachelor's degree), which gives access to the Máster en Enseñanzas Artísticas. Groups have 15 students per teacher. There are four specialities:

  • Graphic Design
  • Interior Design
  • Fashion Design
  • Product Design

Facilities include project, photography, audiovisual and computer workshops, study rooms and a library. Edi holds the Erasmus Charter for 2021-2027: its students can spend semester or short stays at partner schools and universities, and it receives Erasmus+ students and teachers each semester. Admission to the first year requires passing a specific entrance test (PrEA).
