EducoMontessori International School is a bilingual Montessori school in Bormujos, in the province of Seville, at Calle Atarazana 25. It is authorised by the Andalusian regional education ministry (Consejería de Educación de la Junta de Andalucía) as a private foreign school and is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC).
The school covers early years and primary education, organised in Montessori environments:
- Children's House (Casa de Niños), the early years stage
- Lower Elementary (Taller 1)
- Upper Elementary (Taller 2), up to the 6th year of primary
Spanish and English are used every day in all environments. English is introduced gradually from the first year using a natural acquisition approach, and the school sets CEFR level A2 as the minimum for pupils finishing primary. Teaching is led by Montessori guides and assistants trained by AMI and IMI, and the whole teaching team holds official teaching qualifications. Since 2021-22 an international volunteer programme has brought native speakers to the school as conversation assistants.
Families first visit the school with their child; places are offered after the visit when available, and applications are accepted all year round, with a waiting list when classes are full.
