Emory University is a research university in Atlanta, Georgia. It was founded in 1836 in Oxford, Georgia, and was chartered in the Druid Hills neighbourhood of Atlanta in 1915. Across its nine schools and colleges it offers hundreds of degrees, certificates and programmes, and its students come from more than 100 countries.

First-year undergraduates choose between two starting points: Emory College on the Atlanta campus, and Oxford College, 38 miles east of Atlanta, where students complete their first two years before continuing to a bachelor's degree. Graduate and professional study takes place in:

  • Goizueta Business School (MBA, Master of Finance, MS in Business Analytics and more)
  • School of Law (JD, LLM, SJD and joint degrees)
  • School of Medicine
  • Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing
  • Rollins School of Public Health (more than 30 master's and doctoral programmes)
  • Laney Graduate School (more than 40 master's and doctoral programmes)
  • Candler School of Theology

International students apply through the Common App or QuestBridge with the same requirements as other first-year applicants, and must also show English proficiency (TOEFL, IELTS or Duolingo) and certify sufficient funds. An optional InitialView interview can be submitted. International Student and Scholar Services supports international students with studying and working in the US.
