Escuela de Arte y Superior de Diseño de Orihuela

Higher education centre in Orihuela, Spain

The Escuela de Arte y Superior de Diseño de Orihuela (EASDO) is a public school of art and design in Orihuela, part of the Instituto Superior de Enseñanzas Artísticas de la Comunidad Valenciana (ISEACV). It has more than 50 years of history and teaches both higher arts education in design and professional programmes in plastic arts and design.

Its design degrees (Grados de Diseño) are part of the European Higher Education Area and are placed at level 2 of the Spanish qualifications framework (MECES). They lead to the Título Superior de Diseño in three specialities:

  • Graphic Design
  • Interior Design
  • Fashion Design

The school also offers higher vocational cycles in plastic arts and design (MECES level 1) in photography, audiovisual graphics, advertising graphics, clothing pattern-making, stone sculpture techniques and interior decoration projects, as well as its own specialised courses taught by professional designers.

Admission to the degrees requires the Bachillerato, the university entrance exam for over-25s, a Técnico Superior qualification or a university degree, plus a specific entrance test. Holders of the Técnico Superior de Artes Plásticas y Diseño or a design degree can enter directly. Registration is online through the ARTIC platform. EASDO holds the Erasmus+ charter and is a member of the Confederación de Escuelas de Arte (CEA) and ACESEA.
