The Escuela Superior de Arte Dramático de Castilla y León (ESADCYL) is a school of higher dramatic arts in Valladolid, based at the Centro Cultural Miguel Delibes (Avenida del Real Valladolid 2). Created in 2006, it is linked to the Fundación Universidades y Enseñanzas Superiores de Castilla y León (FUESCyL), whose website hosts its pages.
The school offers two official degrees and one official master's in higher arts education. The degree (Grado en Enseñanzas Artísticas Superiores de Arte Dramático) is equivalent to a university bachelor's degree.

All applicants must pass a specific entrance test, even if they have passed the university entrance exam. The test is open to holders of the Bachillerato or an equivalent qualification, or of a pass in the over-25 university entrance exam; an arts Bachillerato is not required. Students can enrol full time (60 ECTS credits) or, in specific cases, part time. Enrolled students can take part in international study and traineeship mobility programmes, and can apply for grants from the Spanish Ministry of Education and the Castilla y León regional government.

Official master's: Máster en Enseñanzas Artísticas de Arte Dramático "Pensamiento y Creación Escénica Contemporánea" (contemporary stage thinking and creation).
Admission
All applicants must pass a specific entrance test, even if they have passed the university entrance exam. To take it, applicants need one of the following:
- Bachillerato or an equivalent qualification (an arts Bachillerato is not required)
- A pass in the university entrance exam for people over 25
- A higher arts degree, university degree or Técnico Superior diploma
The test has three parts: a written analysis of a play, an oral presentation of a basic staging proposal, and either a memorised monologue or writing a short dramatic scene. There is no fixed cut-off mark; places are allocated by test score. Pre-registration is through the Codex platform.
Fees
Degree fees, 2026-27 academic year:
- €24.44 per ECTS credit; full-time enrolment (60 ECTS) €1,466.40
- File opening €30.36 and administrative services €21.05
- Compulsory supplementary insurance €14
- Entrance test: €70
According to the school, a full first year costs €1,570 in total. Payment can be made in one instalment or in three (40%, 30% in December, 30% in March). Exemptions and discounts apply for large families, disability and other cases set by law.
Scholarships and financial aid
Students can apply for grants from the Spanish Ministry of Education, Vocational Training and Sports and from the Castilla y León regional education department, usually between late March and mid-May of the year before enrolment. An extraordinary Bachillerato award or overall distinction (matrícula de honor) in the second year of Bachillerato exempts students from first-year tuition.
