Casa Steiner Tenerife

Casa Steiner Tenerife is a centre for Waldorf-Steiner education in Tenerife. Its main activity is a Waldorf-Steiner kindergarten (jardín de infancia), open Monday to Friday from 8.30 to 13.30, with lunch care from 13.30 to 14.30. The kindergarten follows the Waldorf-Steiner early-years curriculum, has two staff members for every eight children and respects each child's own rhythm for sleep and meals. Daily activities include beeswax modelling, wool work, painting, bread making, free play, eurythmy, outdoor play and movement games in Spanish and English. Children from different cultures and languages attend, and families receive tutorials and take part in seasonal festivals.

The centre also runs:

• Círculo Joven, a weekly after-school group of arts and crafts for children and young people aged 6 to 16, led by accredited Waldorf teachers
• Support for primary-school pupils
• A summer camp
• Continuing teacher training in Waldorf-Steiner pedagogy for early-years, primary and lower-secondary education

Enrolment is open, and the school calendar and conditions are available on request at [email protected].
