The School of Communication and International Relations (Facultat de Comunicació i Relacions Internacionals) is part of Blanquerna, a founding member of the Universitat Ramon Llull, in Barcelona. It was created in 1994 as the School of Communication Sciences, with degrees in Journalism, Audiovisual Communication and Advertising and Public Relations, and has been based at Carrer Valldonzella 23 since 1996. It took its current name in 2014.
The school teaches Advertising, Journalism, Audiovisual Communication, Digital Communication, Global Communication Management and International Relations, with bachelor's degrees, master's degrees, doctorates and continuing education. The bachelor's degree in Advertising, Public Relations and Marketing lasts four academic years (240 ECTS credits), and dual degrees such as Advertising and Journalism are also offered. Some studies are taught in English, and students can do internships abroad. According to the school, it has 223 lecturers and 1,500 internship agreements.
Facilities include two television studios, two radio studios, nine audio and video post-production rooms, Mac computer rooms and the school's own library. Students can use a scholarships and grants service and a language self-learning room. Applications for admission are submitted online in Catalan, Spanish or English.
