Australasia Language College (ALC) is an English language college in Sydney, Australia, with campuses in the Sydney CBD and in Burwood. It was established and registered with CRICOS in 2008 (provider code 02966G). The college states that it hosts students from more than 20 countries in Asia, South America, Europe and other regions.

ALC offers three full-time courses, each with levels of 12 weeks and 20 hours per week:

• General English, from Starter to Advanced, with intakes every Monday
• English for Academic Purposes (EAP), two levels equivalent to IELTS 5.5 and 6.0, for students who plan to continue to vocational or higher education
• IELTS Preparation, at Foundation and Advanced levels

Classes run in morning, afternoon or evening shifts on weekdays, or at weekends. New students take the ALC placement test or show an IELTS score to be placed at the right level. Each 12-week level includes tests in weeks 4, 8 and 12, and students receive a certificate of completion. Applications are made online; successful applicants receive a letter of offer and, after payment, a Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE), which is needed to apply for an Australian student visa.

All courses: 12 weeks per level, 20 hours per week, with morning, afternoon or evening classes (Monday to Friday) or weekend classes.

• Read the terms and conditions and the student guide, then apply through the online application form
• Sign and return the letter of offer (LOO) and written agreement with the required payment
• Receive the Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE), needed before applying for a student visa
• Receive orientation information for arrival

Students are placed by the ALC placement test or by an IELTS score:

• General English: from IELTS 2.5 for Starter to IELTS 5.0 for Advanced
• EAP 1 and IELTS Preparation Foundation: IELTS 5.0 in all bands
• EAP 2 and IELTS Preparation Advanced: IELTS 5.5 to 6.0 in all bands
