Greenleaves Montessori International School is a private bilingual Montessori school in the Moncloa-Aravaca district of Madrid, at Calle Cantos Negros 9. It describes itself as an American and international school and is in the accreditation process with the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC). Greenleaves belongs to the IB World Schools and combines Montessori pedagogy with the International Baccalaureate programmes.

  • Elementary, ages 6-12, with the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP)
  • Middle Years, ages 12-16, with the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP)
  • High School, ages 16-18 (Bachillerato, international programme), opening in the 2026-27 school year

Each class has two teachers, one a native English speaker and one a native Spanish speaker. The school runs a social-emotional programme based on Positive Discipline, with daily morning greetings, democratic class meetings and a calm-down space. Admission starts with a contact form and an interview with the admissions committee and a guided tour; the child may then visit the school for a suitability assessment before the committee decides. The school is open from 08:00 to 17:00.
