Inforum Education Australia is an English language school on the Gold Coast, in its own building at 13-15 Short Street in central Southport, with 17 classrooms. According to the school, it was named ST Star English Language School - Southern Hemisphere four years in a row (2023-2026). It describes itself as a Department of Home Affairs Level 1 accredited college and is an approved English Pathway Provider for Education Queensland International, with pathways to over 70 high schools in Queensland.

Admission Requirements

Applicants complete the online application form or email a PDF application form to [email protected]. Student visa applicants must hold Overseas Student Health Cover until their visa expires. Students under 18 on a student visa pay a welfare fee and must use the airport pick-up and drop-off service unless a family member or a person over 21 designated by the parents does so.

Language Requirements

Entry to General English requires completing Inforum's placement test; courses run from CEFR A1 to C1, and students can take a level-up test on the teacher's recommendation. IELTS preparation is for advanced learners. Short courses have their own minimum levels, such as Pre-Intermediate for barista training and Intermediate for the RSA course.

Fees

Tuition fees for 2026 (Australian dollars):

  • General English: AU$470 per week
  • Cambridge FCE (B2): AU$580 per week
  • High School Preparation (25 hours): AU$650 per week or AU$6,000 per 10-week term
  • Young Learners Program: AU$750 per week
  • Application fee: AU$275; learning materials: AU$15 per week (minimum AU$70 per course)

Housing

The school's accommodation manager arranges homestay and shared accommodation. Homestay prices for 2026 (adults, single room, per week): AU$350 room only, AU$400 with breakfast and dinner, AU$460 with three meals, plus a AU$285 placement fee. An airport coach transfer from Gold Coast or Brisbane airport costs AU$154.
