LSI Brisbane is an English language school in Spring Hill, in central Brisbane, Australia, two blocks from Central Station. It belongs to Language Studies International (LSI), a group of language schools that opened its first school in Kensington, London, in 1965 and now has fourteen schools in seven countries.

The school teaches General English and prepares students for IELTS and Cambridge exams, at six levels from beginner to advanced. Main courses for students aged 16 and over:

• General 20: 20 lessons of 50 minutes per week
• Intensive 24: 24 lessons per week
• Intensive 30: 30 lessons per week
• Corporate training and private lessons
• Junior summer and winter camps

Courses last from 1 to 50 weeks, with a minimum of 8 weeks for beginners. On the first day a written test and an interview determine the class level, and on the last day students receive a certificate stating the course and level attained. The school has air-conditioned classrooms, a student lounge, a self-study room and free WiFi. LSI arranges homestays up to 40 minutes from the school, runs a weekly social programme and offers a regular Job Club and conversation class.

No prior English level is required: courses cover six levels from beginner to advanced, and beginners must book at least 8 weeks. On the first day, a written test and an interview place each student in the right class. Students can also take the LSI online level test before booking.

In Brisbane, LSI arranges homestays up to 40 minutes from the school. LSI homestay hosts provide daily meals and laundry. Across its schools, LSI also offers student residences with single or twin rooms, most with private bathrooms, as well as self-catering apartments or residence hotels, depending on the location.
