Real Instituto Universitario de Estudios Europeos - Universidad San Pablo CEU

The Real Instituto Universitario de Estudios Europeos (RIDEE, Royal University Institute for European Studies) is a research centre of the Universidad CEU San Pablo, a private university in Madrid. It specialises in European affairs and international relations from a multidisciplinary perspective. The institute was created in November 1999 under the presidency of Marcelino Oreja and is now chaired by Jaime Mayor Oreja. The European Commission has awarded it the title of Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence. In line with the university's Christian humanist tradition, the institute emphasises the Christian roots of Europe.

Besides research, publications and seminars, the institute teaches master's programmes and shorter courses:

• Máster Universitario en Unión Europea (one year, on site, next start September 2026), run jointly with the Ortega y Gasset Research Institute
• Máster Universitario en Relaciones Internacionales
• Máster Universitario en Geopolítica, Seguridad y Defensa
• Executive Master in International Business Law and a combined Master's in Law (Abogacía) and International Business Law
• Advanced Course in Arbitration and an Expert Certificate in European and Spanish Competition Law
• Summer courses

The institute also hosts the International Centre for Arbitration, Mediation and Negotiation (CIAMEN), the Centre for Competition Policy and Regulation (CPCR) and the university's European Documentation Centre. It is located at Avenida del Valle 21, 28003 Madrid.
